Det snør!

Everyday when I am walking to class I always check the temperature on this big thermometer posted outside a car repair shop. Today it was -1 celsius (about 30 fahrenheit) but I didn't really think much of it because it is pretty damn cold every morning, haha. Then when I looked out the window during class there were some huge fluffy snowflakes falling down. I was pretty shocked when I went outside on our break and it was already sticking everywhere.

This guy on the bike is named Tesfaye. He was born in Ethiopia, but has spent a large portion of his life in Cuba so him and I have been speaking a lot of Spanish. His English isn't the best so a lot of times when things aren't being understood with Norwegian, charades or drawings, and the teachers are explaining things in English he is still quite lost as are a lot of the other non-English speaking people. It is a pretty hilarious situation actually...I start the train reaction by giving him a Spanish translation and then he speaks his native language from Ethiopia and one guy from Eritrea can understand him. This guy also happens to speak Arabic, so then basically everyone else is in the know as well, haha. So here he is borrowing Anna's bike to test it out on the snow and make sure it is safe for her to ride home. :)

I cannot believe you are having snow already! It makes me want to stay home from work just looking at it!

Nope, I haven't checked out the fleece pants yet. We're sort of on a spending freeze right now until we figure out how much we need to come up with to close on our house!

It is so beautiful there. I'm really jealous. You have no idea how much you miss the snow and cold weather until you live in the south, lol. It seriously takes the fun out of the holidays...or atleast, that's what I'm expecting. I'm already pretty bummed and missing getting all bundled up. BUT, I'm going to Seattle soon! I miss you. Like I said before, your photos are amazing. And, I'm loving the fact that I can hear your stories through your blog. Though I miss you terribly, this helps a little. :)
